Kumamoto Research Society on Albumin

Purpose of this society group

The Kumamoto Research Society on Albumin is a not-for-profit scholarly society and is the intellectual home of albumin science for investigators across all disciplines – also from around the world. Since 1983, we have been researching albumin’s structure and functions and extended to pharmaceutical and medical designs of albumin. The Kumamoto Research Society on Albumin organizes forums for scientific collaboration and communication, supports the professional growth of young investigators through workshops, and networking opportunities, and fosters junior albumin researchers to participate fully in the Annual Symposium.

This research society aims to promote albumin research through information exchange on fundamental research of the structure and functions of albumin, as well as on applied medical research for biomarkers search, diagnosis, treatment, and drug discovery, including albumin-based DDS research, and to develop effective and safe drug treatment designs and innovative DDS formulations.

It is also the purpose of the society to disseminate the latest information on albumin science from Kumamoto to the world. For this reason, in order to ensure that albumin research can be carried out efficiently, we will hold a research discussion every year where albumin researchers can meet and discuss; and also organize research lectures as necessary.

Mission: To advance state–of–the–art science through international forums that promote communications, cooperation, and collaboration among scientists involved in the study of albumin.
